Professional experience

Sabine has recently joined Lee and Lyons as a Senior Associate in the insurance team, bringing over 12 years experience in insurance litigation. She was admitted as a Barrister in 1999 and practiced in the District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales for 8 years, being largely involved in common law insurance claims. She was listed on a number of barristers' insurance panels and has appeared for defendants in all jurisdictions including the higher appellate courts and the High Court of Australia.

After leaving the Bar in 2007 Sabine joined private practice, acting for local and overseas insurers in professional indemnity, public & products liability, construction litigation and in commercial litigation generally.

Sabine has gained experience in large scale litigation involving cases such as the Wallis Lake Oyster case and part of the series of nervous shock claims arising out of the controversial collision between HMAS Melbourne and HMAS Voyager.

During Sabine's time at the Bar she developed a strong background in dispute resolution, consistent with the firm's approach to achieving commercial solutions for our clients.
