Professional experience
Emily commenced working in insurance litigation in 2004 and was admitted as a solicitor in 2005. She initially practiced in statutory lines and then moved to work in public and product liability claims involving catastrophic personal injury and large scale property damage. Emily also has experience in professional indemnity claims including defending claims against property valuers, financial advisors, solicitors and project managers. She holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Medical Science.

- Acting for the insurer of a firm of financial advisors in relation to allegations of negligent financial advice.
- Acting for the insurer of a firm of architects in relation allegations of design defects.
- Acting for a building company in relation to alleged misrepresentations and commercial loss.
- Acting for a building company in relation to various claims for defect and breach of contract.
- Acting for the insurer of property valuers in relation to claims brought by mortgage insurers for alleged over-valuations.
- Acting for upper layer insurers in relation to a claim for negligence against solicitors.
- Acting for the insurer of a not-for-profit organisation in relation to a fidelity claim.
- Acting for the insurer of a manufacturing company in relation to a large scale property damage.
- Acting for insurers in the defence of personal injury claims against cleaning companies, occupiers and building contractors.
