Professional experience

Dallas joined Lee & Lyons since its commencement in 2002 as a Paralegal and was admitted in August 2007. Dallas has developed expertise in preparing, analyzing and managing claims involving disputes arising under Professional Indemnity, Public and Product Liability, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Equity, Wills & Probate and Insolvency.


Dallas' experience includes:

  • Assisting, managing and defending a wide range of disputes under the Motor Accidents Act NSW 1999 ranging from small claims up to multi-million dollar brain injury and quadriplegic disputes. Dallas recently assisted in one of the largest motor vehicle accident claims in NSW, involving 4 month old baby, which resolved in excess of $20,000,000.
  • In 2007 Dallas successfully mediated a claim, on behalf of a widow of a QLD police officer, for damages exceeding $800,000 under the Compensation to Relatives Act 1897.
  • Assisting and advising the Protective Commissioner of NSW in relation to protected persons involved in entering contracts and agreements under undue influence. Including obtaining declaratory relief in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of NSW, family provision applications and personal injury.
  • Assisting, managing and defending/recovering claims for indemnity under section 151Z of the Workers Compensation Act 1987, including providing advice on liability, prospects of success and providing notional assessments under the Motor Accidents Compensation Act 1999 or the Civil Liability Act 2002.
  • Advising and litigating on property damage claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents involving severe collisions with semi-trailers, buses, coaches and loading cranes.
  • Assisting, managing and defending workers compensation claims on matters arising out of claims from weekly benefits, lump sum compensation including damages for pain and suffering.
  • Assisting, managing and preparing winding up applications in the Corporations list in the Supreme Court of NSW.
  • Preparing and litigating a wide range of interlocutory applications including Freezing Orders/Mareva Injunctions, preliminary discovery, statutory limitation applications and summary disposal.
