Professional Experience
Cassandra has specialised in insurance litigation since 2001 and was admitted as a solicitor in 2003. She practices largely in public liability claims involving personal injury, property damage, product liability and construction claims. She holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Health Science.
Cassandra conducts litigation on behalf of local and overseas insurers and corporate Insureds. She has appeared in a variety of jurisdictions including in the District Court, Supreme Court, Local Court, Federal Court, Court of Appeal and the High Court. She has presented seminars on a variety of matters and enjoys a close relationship with her clients.
Some Cassandra's recent projects include:
- Acting for occupiers of building sites in relation to personal injury claims and property damages matters.
- Acting for hotels and/or security companies following injuries received by patrons whilst visiting the hotel.
- Acting on behalf of occupiers in relation to slip and falls at various locations including shopping centres, gyms, venue hire agencies and residential premises.
- Acting for manufacturers involving claims brought pursuant to the Trade Practices Act for defective supply of a product.
- Acting on fidelity claims and advising on indemnity.
